There really isn't a point in having that in place, is there is going to be nobody around on the website to recommend members for vouch for other members.

My time could be spend actually getting things up and running on my own website.

At present, there isn't even a way to DM people to ask them if they can vouch for you. Even Riseup dot net has this aspect down.

There is a point: the spam got so bad that we had to close registration. This seemed better than having it completely closed. Unfortunately, with no moderators at the moment, there aren’t many alternatives.

We’d have to do something to stop that from being used for spam, too. In the meantime, the hope is that people can use messages on other services to ask.
