Describe the bug
Entering a tweet is laggy

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Press button to compose
Bring up the onscreen keyboard
Enjoy laggy typing

Expected behavior
Responsive typing

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

Device: Galaxy S10E
OS: Android 12
Variant: Fdroid
Version: 1.7.0-beta02

Additional context
I have the app mostly working with the Mac keys but entering a tweet with Gboard is insanely laggy.
