Feature Requests:

  1. Adding more available filters for menu config/video
Like 2xSaI and XBR(z) Filters (Especially the 2xSaI filter looks way better on lots of TFT monitors than the integrated "hq2x" filter) and maybe a "Bilinear interpolation Filter" as well.

  2. Game Specific Drawing Area (An 8 pixels Clip function for Left-Right-Up-Down would be great) + game specific palette
A simular feature like in Mesen would do the job.

  3. Video Screen Left/Right and Up/Down Clip Shortcut Key (Virtua NES has a customiz. key shortcut, which only toggles 8pxls. on the left) In particular, for games like SMB3, which uses different Screen Drawing areas in its Title- and Playscreen, it would make sense, to have a Screen 8pxls. left/right clip function shortcut key at least.

  4. A "Save Window Position" and "Save Menu Win. Position" Option like in Virtua NES

5a) A Predefinable Palette Directory* in menu config/directories (otherwise, each time, when selecting a palette, you have to
navigate through the whole windows menu-tree, which can be a pain in the ..) *

5b) Customizable Shortcut keys for Palette Selections and an entry, that views the actual choosen palette in palette menu
Also the palette menu could be greatly improved here, by adding like 3-9 different palette slots, where in each of them, a palette can be choosen quickly from a predefined palette directory plus assigned with a certain shortcut key, that makes those palettes quickly accessable. (Maybe then let display its palette name additionally after selecting it on the bottom left, to allow users, more comfortably, to test'n compare different palettes in fullscreen mode)

5c) Adding more palettes (There's a wiki source on the web, that provides a .zip file with all the best available palettes, see link below)
https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Famicom_color_palette

  1. An 'Emulated' Fullscreen Mode Option (To save cpu ressources for older PC's and make netplay more smooth)

Bug Report / Bug Fix Request)

  • Save Screenshot Shortcut Key (Like pressing F12) is not working properly. It only creates a corrupted looking snapshot in the choosen folder. This issue doesn't occur, when the snapshot is saved via menu "Save screenshot As", though. See snaps below, a) corrupted snap, b) snapshot, created in menu with "save screenshot as" menu command.

Some Feedback notes)
I would gladly appreciate, if you guys can add this features to newer releases in the near future, what I can confirm is, that Fceux 2.6.4 is working pretty smooth on my old PC (see my Pc specs below) and that its overall the best and fastest working NES emulator on my Core2Duo. (Ive tested a lot, like Nestopia UE, Mesen, PuNES, Virtua NES, FBNeo, etc.) ..thank you, for developing such a great emu, that works so great and gives a game developer all the debugging-Tools he/she needs,

with the kindest regards,
Gabriel West (Big Fan of the FCeux-Project and user of FCeux)

PC used for FCeux: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 x 2,8 Ghz, Graphics Card: Express Chipset Onboard Q45/43, OS: Win7 64bit
