add zoom for images

Particularly chapter 4 of the manual has extremely detailed images that cannot be inspected without zooming. Right now the user must either a) right-click, open in new tab and zoom there with the browser-provided UI, or b) zoom the entire page in. I would prefer something like a magnifying glass cursor over images that allows zooming, or maybe a zoom scrollbar or something.
