dojo/store enhancements and bug reports to consider

The following tickets were opened under dojo/store and may be worth considering for future dstore efforts:

• Implement handleAs for custom data parsing handlers
• Add sortOptions for JsonRest
• Should dojo/store/Cache return in-flight promises
• Support for json referencing

And we should probably verify these are not issues with their dstore analogs (I'm guessing most of them are not issues, but worth verifying since tickets were opened against dojo/store):

• Observable behaviour with paged data. Observe() callbacks fired
  incorrectly
• Query is out of date error caused when store receives notify call and a query has not resolved
• Caching and 304 responses
• Cache remove() method discards original XHR response of Master Store
• Observable cannot properly report the position of objects added using the before option
• store.notify() doesn't notify for new items at end of resultset
• Duplicated data with auto-generated IDs
• dojo/store/JsonRest doesn't encode IDs with reserved characters
• Cannot override SimpleQueryEngine sort function
• Make sure notifications to a store also update the cache
• update total-attribute for observable query results

I have some more tickets to triage in Dojo, so I may add a few items, but the main goal of this ticket is to make sure we're aware of any recently reported bugs from dojo/store users and not propagating the issues within dstore.
