Auto Enchant frustration

Trying to auto enchant books. Very hard to get them to go in, will only go in with a hopper. Then, nothing. They just sit there in inventory. Not to mention that the auto enchanter has so many inputs, it's hard to find space to surround it with books to get a full enchant, although it's hard to tell whether or not it's accepting items, since they can't be put in manually, and pipes don't seem to work. I am using ftb builder's paradise pack.

You can't put in stacks of books, it has to be one at a time :)
