Error during USB installation #25
Comments
Wait a minute, I change the UI language to English. |
Hi, it's Broadcom BCM94360NG card that arrived a couple of hours ago. Also tried one week ago with the original Intel Wi-Fi card and the same problem occur (i though myself was a problem related to the not 100% compatible card). Now seems to be applied on both Wi-Fi chipset |
Maybe it is the problem of recovery, you can try to test the card after installing macOS Ventura. |
with ventura I had same problem. I recommend installing Monterey. the kexts for Ventura are too young. But I have intel WiFI. I don't know for broadcom |
okey, acknowledged, it is very kind of both of you. |
Hi @ALL. I made almost through. Since BCM94360NG is native compatible, additional kext is needed (all the Brdm kext in config.plist should be disabled). The Wi-Fi and BT are working 99% perfectly. On the other hand i discovered an odd problem. When waking up the pc, with no charger (on battery), attached all USB interfaces stops from working, including the Bluetooth. This problem is not applicable while charging. |
Thanks for your feedback, I will update the README later. Btw, do you mean if the BCM is native compatible, all additional kexts is not needed (including BlueToolFixup.kext)? For your problem, if you don't DIY your USB ports or re-create the USBMap.kext before, you can try so. It may possibly work. |
@Lovely-XPP correct it works Out-of-the-Box. |
From official dortania page. |
I would like to know if you enable any BCM kexts? |
Did you install the Ventura OS? |
Followed dortania guide to create USB Stick with Mac OS Ventura.
Applied EFI folder (from this repository - version 9.00) and while loading the process hangs to: "SMCLightSensor alsd: @ No Iterator"
Here is my system detail:
Latitude 7480 i5-7300U
1920 x 1080 no touchscreen
256 SSD SKhynix
BCM94360NG (Wi-Fi / BT4) card (that should works OOB)
