Stuck on version 2.2.317? Auto-update broken #804

There was a regression introduced in 2.2.317 that breaks auto-update.

If you're stuck on version 2.2.317 you need to either:

  1. click Windows Start Menu, type "MSB", open MSBuild Structured Log Viewer from the start menu and let it auto-update, then start it again from the start menu.
  2. if that doesn't help, reinstall from https://msbuildlog.com

Opening the viewer by double-clicking binlog files does not auto-update. Opening the viewer from a pinned shortcut doesn't auto-update. The only way to open the viewer that auto-updates is from the start menu or a full reinstall.

You can always check the latest version in the Releases:

I manually installed the exe from 330 release here on github and see this on top now:

ok, I already closed the UI and when I run the tool again, the message is now gone.

.334 works fine, no error message and got auto updated from .330
