how to use 2.4 Arduino Display (no SPI / 8bit bus)?

Have a look at: https://github.com/HASwitchPlate/openHASP/blob/master/user_setups/esp32/d1-r32-unoshield_ili9341_adc.ini

However, I would advise against using it due to the Analog touch pins instead of a proper touch controller.
The ADC touch driver is a user contributed driver and I can not test/support it.

Some things to check:

• Are you sure it is the ILI9341 display chip?
• Check if the bootlog matches the pins used: https://www.openhasp.com/0.6.3/faq/#the-display-stays-white
• Do other sketches work properly?

The driver chip for the LCD screen is ili9341 and for the touchscreen is XPT2046.

I don't see an XPT2046 chip on the link in your first post. Either the displays you have are not those from LCD wiki, or they don't have an XPT2046... Can you post pictures of your boards?

If the graphics test sketch works fine, the hardware connections are OK. You just need to match the pins in the openHASP .ini file.

You can try to use the TFT_eSPI driver instead of the LovyanGFX driver in openHASP by setting these options on the ini file:

    -D USER_SETUP_LOADED=1
    ;-D LGFX_USE_V1=1

and

For the ADC touch, check out issue #348 there seem to be some modifications needed, but I cannot test it.

I don't think there is a backlight control PIN on that display, but there might be a workaround as reported here.
