ILI9341 2.4inch Arduino Display (parallel)

Hi Team!
Trying to connect 2.4inch Arduino Display to ESP32.
Based on d132-unoshield_ili9486_parallel.ini I prepared config as follow, simply commenting out lines related to SPI and changing driver:

Build compiles and uploads fine, I can access webpage. Screen is white/blinks slightly during boot.

Do you think is it possible to make it work? Can you advise on possible changes to above config? Thanks!

The ini file is basically a translation of the User_Setup.h file in the tft_espi library: In this case check out Setup14_ILI9341_Parallel.h
I think it can work and the config looks OK to me... However the ultimate test is to get a tft_espi test sketch running first.
Maybe it's just missing the -D TFT_PARALLEL_8_BIT bit.

Introducing a new display always involves a bit of trial-and-error, so try to boil the sketch down to the bare essentials.
You'll find some examples included in the tft_espi library.

Once you have the user_setup.h dialed in, it should be straightforward to pull it into hasp-lvgl which uses tft_espi internally.

Thanks for the hint with tft_espi library. I was not able to get it working until I changed esp32 cpu freq. to 80MHz (from default 240MHz). I suspect that it is related to poor connection due to dupont cables. Time to solder short cables and start playing! Awesome! Thanks for your amazing work!

Short cables, soldered connections - issue fixed, node running on stock speed, 240MHz, display works as expected.

This "UNO"-like displays do not have SPI chip for touch signals, only 4-wire resistive touch screen connections. As I understand, as of now, openHASP supports only XPT2046 as touch SPI interface. How hard/work would be required to implement Adafruit TouchScreen like driver?

Several touch drivers are supported through TOUCH_DRIVER defines in the ini file.
Check out src\drv\hasp_drv_touch.cpp, there is a 0xADC driver placeholder but it is not used or implemented yet...

You need to add that library and use it in hasp_drv_touch.cpp when TOUCH_DRIVER=0xADC
