There should be a facility to enable thresholds against a site. This should allow combination then of Global, Templates, Sites and Devices notification lists.

Please be a little more specific on what you are trying to accomplish.

I think the idea was to get thresholds for site level things like a warning if your server avaialbilities across all servers drops below a certain level, etc. In reality, not sure how that would work with how THold handles things.

But it was almost a year ago when I had the idea and then forgot about it!

So, basically, this would appear more of a Nagios type functionality where you could have a dashboard that displayed the number of thresholds breached per site and possibly by some other dimensions. Maybe display that as a doughnut charts or something. Thresholds by criticality, Device Status by Criticality, etc. Beg's other questions too.

@TheWitness
I would like to setup Dead Device notifications for one site (business modems), but not another site (residential modems). This does not seem to be possible with the current settings. Am I missing something? Perhaps I should be going about this a different way.

Currently, the only real way to achieve that is at the device level. You may even be able to set it against the device templates, though you would need to have one for each class/type combination (commerical/residential of router/modem/switch/etc). If you can't set that as a templated option, probably worth requesting it as a feature on the core repo.
